Proclamation of Western New York Armed Forces Days for 2019
In Recognition of Their 59th Anniversary The Eight Counties of Western New York Proclaim Sunday, May 5th to Saturday, May 18th 2019 Western New York Armed Forces Days
Whereas: Today we recognize the 100th Anniversary of"The American Legion-A-Century of Service". We give special recognition to the Operation Comfort Warriors program. For the past 100 years, The Legion has given aid to our recovering wounded warriors and disabled veterans and their families all across America; and
Whereas: We the people, remember and honor those members of the United States Armed Forces - Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard-The price of freedom is high. We cannot afford to forget those willing to pay it. We must always Remember! 'The Nation Which Forgets It's Defenders Will Itself Be Forgotten", All of them stand as Heroes.

Whereas: Our Western New York Armed Forces Celebration offers Our communities an opportunity to express their gratitude to our active duty members, reservists, military retirees, and veterans for their dedication, sacrifices and service to our nation; and
Therefore: We, the County Executives and Supervisors of the Eight Western New York Counties Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming Set Forth Our Hand to Proclaim and Recognize
