Diabetes Self-Management Classes to begin on April 21

The Department of Aging/NY Connects will hold a six-week series of classes where you will learn techniques to deal with the symptoms of diabetes, fatigue, pain, hyper/hypoglycemia, stress, and emotional problems such as depression, anger, fear and frustration. You will learn appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength and endurance; healthy eating; appropriate use of medication; and ways to work more effectively with health care providers.
Classes will be will be held on April 21, 28, May 5, 12, 26, and June 2 and will run from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The classes will be conducted at the Salamanca Senior Center, 18-20 Main Street, Salamanca, New York. Please contact Anne Davis at (716) 373-8032 to register.
